Announcing Homeschooling 101!
When: Saturday, April 28, 9:30-11:45 a.m.
Where: Blount County Library, Sharon Lawson and Dorothy Herron rooms
What: Introduction to homeschooling laws, overview of curriculum, Q&A time. This is geared toward brand new and potential homeschoolers. We'll also have curriculum show-and-tell tables so people can peruse materials and ask one-on-one questions.
No RSVP is necessary. Please spread the word!

Dual Enrollment Roundtable
When: Thursday April 19, 6:15 - 8:15
Where: Auditorium at Pellissippi Blount Campus
RSVP: Diane Benson (bensonhome@charter.net)
Wendy Petty, the Associate Director of Admission at Maryville College and Dutchess Jones, the Dual Enrollment Specialist for Pellissippi will be present to provide information and answer questions. If time permits, we will also discuss preparing students for college.


FIELD TRIPS AND ACTIVITIES

What: WaterFest
When: May 10, 2012, 11 am - noon
Where: Keep Blount Beautiful EcoCenter at the DENSO EcoPark, 1421 Middlesettlements Rd. Maryville
Who: 1st through 4th grade students and their siblings and parents.

* If you would like to join our "chatty" yahoo group, please send an email to BHEA-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.This is the place where you can post questions about anything from curriculum to dishwasher repair, items to sell or buy, prayer requests, etc. Any member may join the group. This is a great place of new families to "meet" others, find out about activities, etc.

*Interested in Playing Girls High School Basketball
Mark Williamson, the girls high school basketball coach at Maryville Christian, is trying to get the message out to all high school girls that are interested in playing basketball and are currently not on a team. Please contact him if you are interested in playing and he will try to make arrangements for you to participate on his team. Mark Williamson markandchrissie@charter.net.
