boat in the creek.

IN THE AREA:
* There will be a meeting on Thursday, August 28 from 6:30 - 8:00
PM, at the West Knoxville Branch Public Library at Kingston Pike & Papermill
Rd, in Bearden (100 Golfclub Rd., Knoxville 37919). The purpose
of the meeting is to organize a home school high school swim team
under SMHEA. We tentatively started a team last year, but want
to expand on it. For those that might be interested, this would
include any home school swimmer in grades 9-12. We can also accept
middle school swimmers, grades 7-8, but they will only be allowed
to swim exhibition in dual or tri-meets, if all teams agree. This
gives middle school swimmers a chance to experience high school
swimming & it is good practice.
In 2007, TISCA (Tennessee Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association)
approved into their bylaws that home school high school swim teams
could form & swim with the public/private school teams.
Our team will be under SMHEA. Please RSVP if you are interested & can
come to the meeting.
