Hannah Barnett To All Instructors
Hello – my name is Hannah Barnett and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself! I own Honey Grove Counseling in downtown Maryville. I completed my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lee University and established a practice in Cleveland, TN working with children and adolescents. I am excited to be back in my hometown of Maryville and increase the mental health services available to our community.
I am continuing my education from afar as I am working to complete my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy. This program increased my experience teaching and supervising therapists. I co-taught Ethics for MFTs and continued teaching “Science of Well-Being” as an adjunct professor for undergraduate students at Lee. I am primarily a therapist; however, I fell in love with teaching and hope to continue as a college professor in the future.
I started teaching classes for homeschooled students and love sharing how practical psychology really is. Our every-day lives, and our decisions are shaped by our psychology. Even very young students can benefit from learning about emotions, behavior, and friendships. As a former homeschooler (and BHEA student) myself, I loved getting to learn from different teachers and experience time in a bigger classroom. I am excited to be back in this role for the fall!
I included my contact information below – I would love to connect with you and I hope to see your students in class!
