Educational and Extracurricular Opportunities for Homeschoolers
We encourage all homeschool families to use these wonderful opportunities to enhance their educational experiences and develop new skills.
Athletics and Physical Education

Maryville Christian School Athletics: Occasionally offers roster spots for homeschool students. Contact the Director of Athletics for more information.

Maryville Fencing Club: Open to all Maryville fencers. Contact Coach Pat Luna for details.

Prime Aquatics Homeschool Swim: Provides a swim program for the homeschool community. Learn more and register.

Chess Club at the Blount County Public Library:
Saturdays from 12:00 - 2:00 PM in the Reference Area
All ages and skill levels are encouraged to come play or learn to play in a supportive environment.Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7:30 PM in the Reference Area
Participate in unrated chess tournaments. -
Afterschool Program for Teens & Tweens at the Blount County Public Library
Join us in the Kelly Teen Room for fun activities and free time to make art, play video games on our Switch or PS5, or just hang out with friends.
Teens (Ages 13–17): Wednesdays & Thursdays from 3:30–7:00 PM
Tweens (Ages 9–12): Fridays from 3:00–5:00 PM -
Teen Anime Club at the Blount County Public Library
Dates: First 3 Thursdays of the month at 4:00 PM in the Kelly Teen Room. For ages 13–17.
Details: Enjoy anime and manga? Then drop by and share what you're reading and watching with us! We'll have anime showings, fun talks about the latest manga, some Japanese snacks, and more.

Dungeons & Dragons at the Blount County Public Library
Ongoing Campaigns: Weekly on Tuesdays from 5:30 - 8:00 PM in the Kelly Room behind the Oversized section.
Details: Have you always wanted to try out the world’s best tabletop role-playing game, or just curious what all the hype is about? Or are you a veteran player looking for a new adventure? Our weekly campaigns are ongoing, and space is limited, so fill out this form so that our DMs can get some more information!
