What is the Enrichment Program?

Welcome to our BHEA Enrichment Program! We are excited to offer this optional opportunity to enhance the education you provide for your children at home. Our goal is to partner with you in creating a rich and supportive learning environment. As parents, you remain responsible for your students' education, and we are here to support you in this journey.

Participation in the Enrichment Program is entirely optional. There is no requirement from the state or BHEA to join, so you can choose what works best for your family. Currently, about half of our members take part in the Enrichment sessions, so you won't feel any pressure either way.

We offer sessions for students from preK to grade 12, all held on Mondays. We look forward to collaborating with you to provide the best possible learning experience for your children!

When do Sessions begin?


What sessions are being offered in the Spring Semester?

Keep an eye out for the Spring 2025 Schedule, which will be available in mid-November! You can find it here, in our Facebook group, and in your email inbox. Please note that all sessions are scheduled for Mondays at a single, convenient location in Maryville.

Who is involved with the Enrichment Program and how do they qualify?

The BHEA Enrichment Program is open to all members of BHEA who are in good standing. This ensures that every participant is an active and engaged member of our community, ready to benefit from the diverse learning opportunities the program offers.

How many weeks will the sessions meet?

The Enrichment Program will feature a total of 12 sessions, providing a consistent and immersive experience over the course of several weeks. Each session is designed to enrich and expand the educational journey of our participants.

How much does this cost?

To participate, there is a Registration Fee of $50 per family per year, whether you enroll for one semester or two. Additionally, each instructor sets their own fees, which you can find by clicking on the session names for full descriptions.

Please note that only member families are eligible to participate in the Enrichment Program. Our annual membership fee is $30 per family, covering the period from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025. Since this fee is already quite low, it remains the same regardless of when you join during the academic year, and we do not offer prorating or refunds.

Can I drop my kids off on their Enrichment Days?

Can I drop my kids off on their Enrichment Days?

We understand that this question comes up often. However, our policy is that parents must stay with their children during Enrichment Days, unless your child is over 16, can drive themselves, and meets other specific requirements.

As a true co-op, we thrive on the involvement and support of every family. Your presence helps make each Enrichment Day a success. So, we encourage you to stay, serve, chat, and connect with other parents. It's a wonderful opportunity to find your circle of friends and be part of our vibrant community!

Is the Gear Up meeting mandatory?

Yes! Attendance at a Gear Up meeting is crucial for both new and returning members to secure your child's place in the sessions. These meetings are scheduled each semester after the Enrichment Session Signups but before the first day of sessions. You will be contacted in advance with the meeting schedule, giving you ample time to register and make arrangements to attend.

To register, please use the BHEA calendar, ensuring that you are signed in to your BHEA account. One adult from each household must attend the Gear Up meeting. While children are welcome to join, they must remain with you throughout the meeting.

When can I register for the Enrichment Program?

BHEA Family membership is open!

Now is the time to Join BHEA Family Membership for the 2024-2025 academic year in order to register for the Enrichment Program and sign up for Spring Enrichment Sessions in late November/Early December.

Your membership not only grants you access to our vibrant community and a plethora of activities but also supports our mission to assist and encourage new homeschoolers throughout the year. Our annual academic membership year runs from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025.

The following instructions are for NEW MEMBERS and members that are rejoining after a gap in membership. 

If you were a member previously but not during the 2023-24 academic year please email the membership coordinator at [email protected] to have your profile unlocked so that you can login and renew your membership. (p.s. welcome back!)

How to Join BHEA:
Step 1 - Register

Click the "Request New Family Membership" link under the "How to Join BHEA" tab or click here: https://www.bhea.net/2103/signup 

-Former members with a gap in membership must log in to your profile (after contacting the membership coordinator to have it unlocked)
-Complete (or update) your family profile (make sure the email you use is one you check often!), your children's grade levels, areas in which you would like to volunteer to help the organization grow and flourish, and the grade sections that will be appropriate for your family in the upcoming academic year.

-Opt into the Membership Directory for enhanced member-to-member communication.
Answer all the questions and then once you have proven you are not a robot click "Continue" at the bottom.
Step 2 -PAY 

The Family Membership fee is $30 for the 2024-2025 academic year, covering your whole household through May 31st, 2025. The price is fixed no matter when you join until the end of the academic year.

You will now be prompted to log in to the account that you just created and complete the payment process to complete the registration process. Click the check box next to $30 on the accounting page and click "Pay Now" to proceed to the invoice, where you can pay with your PayPal account or a debit/credit card. Payment of the Membership fee confirms your agreement with the BHEA Handbook and makes you eligible to sign up on the much-coveted Initial Signup Day for the Enrichment Program Session Signups! The 2024-2025 BHEA Handbook can be viewed here: https://www.bhea.net/bheahandbook2023_24  and on the Main Menu via the  "BHEA Handbook 2024-2025" link (on your phone it is "Main Menu" then "Secondary Menu" then "BHEA Handbook 2024-2025")

As the approval process is done MANUALLY by our membership coordinator,  please know that it is not automatic approval.  She is working hard on approving new families and renewals and will do so as quickly as she can! Please submit your payment immediately to ensure there is no additional wait time.

Please note: Registering for the optional Enrichment Program is a separate process. Now you must STOP and wait to be approved before you can register for the Enrichment Program 

You will receive an email when your membership application has been approved and your payment has been confirmed. At that time you will be able to log in to the website at www.bhea.net with the username and password you created during registration and register for the Enrichment Program if you wish to do so.

If you miss this deadline don't worry you can still register anytime and sign up for the remaining Enrichment Sessions all winter break long (BEGINNING DATE TBD)

I'm sold! How does signing up for enrichment sessions work?

We're excited to have you join our Enrichment Program! AnchorSession signups are completed online through a process exclusive to new and renewing members who have registered and paid the Enrichment Program Registration Fee.

Once you have paid and been emailed your welcome letter, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your BHEA account at bhea.net.
  2. Navigate to the correct semester session schedule, which can be found under the “Enrichment Program” tab.
  3. Click on the session/Family Work Commitment (FWC) position you wish to register for.
  4. Check the box for the person you'd like to register.
  5. Click "register."
  6. You will receive a message confirming your registration or letting you know if you have been placed on the waitlist.

New to Enrichment? You'll also need to attend a Gear Up (informational) meeting. These meetings are scheduled each semester after the Enrichment Session Signups but before the first day of sessions. You will be contacted in advance with the meeting schedule and they are also listed on the BHEA Calendar, giving you ample time to register and make arrangements to attendIf you're signing up after the last Gear Up meeting listed on the BHEA Calendar, please email [email protected] for further instructions.
